This Nucleus Laboratory Comparison report – Part 2 is part of the 2023 Interlaboratory Comparison (IC 2023). IC 2023 is investigating the degree of agreement in the measurements of temporal light modulation (TLM) quantities, in particular, short-term flicker indicator (PstLM), and stroboscopic effect visibility measure (SVM).
IC 2023 consists of two parts: Part 1 used a set of four LED lamps with different TLM characteristics as comparison artefacts; Part 2 used a TLM waveform generator programmed with five different waveforms. Part 1 was designed to comply with ISO/IEC 17043 to serve as a proficiency test for SSL testing accreditation programmes that recognise this comparison as was done in IC 2013 and IC 2017. Part 2 was offered as an option for participants to provide further technical study for more varieties of waveforms that are not available with lamps.
