29 government energy efficiency officials and experts from 12 economies met on 7-8 November 2012 in Tokyo to collaborate on initiative to deliver greater international comparability of energy efficiency polices for appliances and equipment.

As a result of the workshop, participants from the IEA-4E, SEAD and IEA pledged to work together to develop more effective mechanisms for engaging with the IEC and ISO.
