The IEA 4E Electric Motor Systems Annex gave an input presentation during the expert panel of the event ‘Super-Efficient Appliances Pave the Way to Net-Zero’, which took place in the framework of the 7th  Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency. The expert discussions of this event had a special focus on electric motors and heat pumps, being two priority products.

EMSA showed in its presentation where we stand with motors today which was followed by a discussion on how to accelerate the replacement of old stock motors globally.

The 7th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency took place on 7 to 9 June 2022 in Sønderborg, Denmark. It was jointly organised by the International Energy Agency and the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. This high-level conference brought together ministers from around 20 countries, CEOs and decision-makers from government, industry and civil society to explore how international ambition on energy efficiency can be translated into faster and stronger real-world progress on the global path to net zero.
