IEA 4E SSL Annex Conference on Promoting High Quality, Energy-Efficient Lighting

Taking advantage of the IEA 4E SSL Annex’s Experts meeting in Australia, the Annex held a one day conference on 23 November in Sydney with presentations by the Experts on a range of topics relating to LED lighting, efficiency and quality. The conference gathered over 50 Australian lighting experts from industry, research and government.

Presentations covered a broad range of topics, including an overview of the Annex’s work, global lighting regulations, flicker, health effects and life cycle assessments of LED lighting. The agenda below shows the topics covered and has links to all the presentations given.

About the IEA 4E SSL Annex:

The SSL Annex was established in 2010 under the framework of the International Energy Agency’s Energy Efficient End-use Equipment (4E) Implementing Agreement to provide advice to its member countries seeking to implement quality assurance programmes for SSL lighting. This international collaboration currently consists of member governments of Australia, Canada Denmark, France, the Republic of Korea, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
