Preliminary results of Global Round Robin for Converters

The preliminary results of the Global Round Robin testing program for converter losses show a high repeatability of the proposed uniform testing protocol and confirm that the 9 converters tested have much lower losses than the IE1 reference values in IEC 61800-9-2 (edition 1).

The Global Round Robin was launched by EMSA in cooperation with IEC WG18 with the goal to inform the revision of IEC 61800-9-2.

The preliminary results were presented during a workshop on 13 November 2018 before the Motor Summit 2018 International in Zurich.

A report summarizing all results of phase 1 will be available in spring 2019.
