4E Extended to 2019

This week the IEA CERT committee approved 4E's extension for a second term to 2019, endorsing the unanimous request from the 12 existing member countries.

"We are extremely pleased that the IEA has recognised all the achievements of 4E since 2008, and continues to value the contribution we make to the development of end-use efficiency" says 4E Chair, Mike Walker from the UK.  "The importance of energy efficiency has grown considerably since 4E was launched, and there is now even more we can and will do to assist  our member governments maximise efficiency and reap the economic, energy security and environmental benefits."
