4E Research Activities - AnnexesA number of research projects (Annexes) are established within the framework of the 4E.
Ideally, Annexes could be established for all major end-use equipment; however the initial focus is set on sectors where there is the most immediate interest, the largest saving potential, and the greatest opportunity for international co-ordination.

The annexes seek to establish interfaces with existing networks/initiatives establishing synergies and avoiding duplication of ongoing activities. An Operating Agent is appointed for each of the initial Annexes. |
4E is an Implementing Agreement promoting the use of sustainable electrical appliances and energy efficient equipment.
